Roosevelt Offoha, MD, is a gifted spine surgeon whose priority is to ensure his patients attain the best possible outcomes from their treatment. In 2009, he went to the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore to complete his medical degree and followed this with an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois Hospitals in Chicago. After completing his residency, Dr. Offoha embarked on his spine surgery fellowship at New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. He became eligible for board certification in 2018.Among his achievements to date, Dr. Offoha has co-authored research papers in prestigious medical journals, including Orthopedics, the European Spine Journal, and the American Journal of Medical Genetics. While in medical school he worked to design an electronic medical records system for homeless and low-income medical clinics which received many accolades including an Albert Schweitzer Fellowship reward and the Clinton Global Initiative endorsement.Among the procedures Dr. Offoha specializes in are lumbar microdiscectomy, anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), artificial disc replacement, posterior cervical decompression, kyphoplasty, lumbar decompression, decompressive laminectomy and lumbar fusion.
