Meating the Need is a non-profit organization based in San Antonio, TX, dedicated to feeding the homeless community in the area. They provide high-quality protein meat and other food staples to the St. Vincent de Paul dining facility, which serves as the primary source of food for the homeless living on the streets in downtown San Antonio.

Founded in 2007, Meating the Need was created to address the need for a reliable source of high-quality protein frozen meats for the St. Vincent de Paul Dining Room. With the support of their partners and volunteers, they have been making food deliveries every other Wednesday for 12 years, serving approximately 1,200 meals a day at the Prospects Courtyard at Haven for Hope.
