McCreless Branch Library, located in San Antonio, TX, serves a diverse community of approximately 100,000 people in the southeast sector of the city. The library offers a collection of 70,072 volumes including music CDs, videos, DVDs, and audiobooks, with a focus on African-American interests in the Adult Collection.
Established in 1966, the 5,800 square foot library building was named in honor of twins G. Sealie and Sollie E. McCreless, who donated the land for its construction. The library continues to be a vital resource center for residents throughout the Southeast part of San Antonio and Bexar County.
