About Us Founded in 1975, Alan C. McClure Associates, Inc ( ACMA ) is one of the industry's premier naval architecture and engineering firms. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, we've provided advanced engineering and design services to our international clientele in offshore exploration, production and marine transportation for more than 35 years. ACMA services range from analytical design to project management and construction services, which include equipment selection, vessel equipment start-up and vessel sea trials. Our projects have included drilling rigs, SPAR, tension leg platforms ( TLPs ), floating production systems and support craft for the offshore petroleum industry, as well as for ships, barges, tugs, buoys and marine terminals. The ACMA staff and services naval architecture, marine engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and engineering mechanics represent the engineering disciplines required to successfully complete a project. Our personnel are assigned to a technical team for each project and contribute on a part-time or full-time basis so that each project may be completed with the most efficient and economical use of manpower.
