History
Marker Cellars Family Winery is a short nine miles North of Decatur and 3.5 miles from downtown Alvord, on CR 2585. The Rogers family has been making Texas Wine since 2000 and opened the tasting room November 2012. The wine styles produced by Marker Cellars are heavily influenced by the time the family spent living and exploring the Wine Country on the West Coast. Surrounded by the LBJ Grasslands the family farm is an Eco-friendly environment, supporting the re-introduction of Quail and Dove into the sensitive National Forest system. The Winery placement and build out have been influenced by the natural beauty of its surroundings.
