Marianna Karpinos, MD

Zubia graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Spanish and Biology. She attained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) at The University of Texas -RGV in 2014. She became the first primary care PA-C at Kelsey-Seybold under the supervision of Donnie Aga, M.D., in May 2015. Zubia has since excelled in telemedicine visits and now manages all Internal Medicine PAs. She sees patients in clinic for routine physicals, well-woman exams, follow-up visits, and weight loss management; treats acute illnesses; and manages chronic diseases.

Erika is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2014. She earned her Master of Science of Nursing (MSN)/Family Nurse Practitioner at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2018. Erika has cared for patients through a variety of nursing positions over the course of her career. These include working in a cardiologist's office at Memorial Hermann Outpatient Center and in the bone marrow transplant unit at Texas Children's Hospital. From November 2016 to May 2019, Erika cared for patients in the Kelsey-Seybold Cardiology Department. She returned to Kelsey-Seybold in October 2019 and cares for patients in the Hematology/Oncology Department.

Jimmy George graduated from Houston Baptist University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and then spent two years working as an E.R. medical scribe at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown from 2014 to 2016. Jimmy then continued his education, completing his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2018 at Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi, W.V. Jimmy, who joined Kelsey-Seybold in 2019, holds certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Physician Assistant Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants.
