History

After many years of styling and educating in a big, busy, and well respected Austin salon, owner Brooke Michie began to seek a different kind of salon experience for her clients and herself. She sought to deliver a more personal interaction from booking and consultation to styling and product recommendations/education which allowed more focus on the client from start to finish.

Specialties

Lyric Salon was created by Brooke Michie in 2011 to serve as a personal atelier for hair and beauty. It has grown into a boutique collective of three unique, client-focused top stylists. The small, open studio space possesses a cool timeless quality that eases one into the utmost comfort during a cut, color, or styling service. Brooke Michie draws upon her design background to create tailored and custom hair cuts and colors while providing education to her clients about how to care for their hair texture and color in the process. With over 16 years cutting and coloring experience, Brooke has also assisted educating Deva Curl stylists and is a curly hair master. J Gosh, Editorial and Event Styling Specialist brings a keen eye for global fashion and trends to her work in styling, cut and color. J connects and creates with her clients needs in mind to offer bespoke and beautiful hair. Bobby Baker is a Deva Curl Advanced educator and, lucky for us, a dedicated curly hair advocate with a solid base of curly haired (and straight/wavy) devotees. He employs painting and balayage color techniques to give his clients color that suits their unique texture.
