Lubbock County Sheriff Civil
Lubbock County Sheriff Civil is a division within the Lubbock Sheriff's Office that is responsible for serving civil process documents, such as citations, subpoenas, and temporary restraining orders. They also seize and sell property under court orders and work closely with the Texas Attorney General's Office on child support cases. The Civil Division Deputies receive continual training to stay up-to-date on all laws and mandates of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE).
The Civil Division is comprised of a Lieutenant, Sergeant, Corporal, and four deputies who work Monday through Friday. They are available to serve documents at any convenient time for the citizen and also provide assistance to other divisions within the Sheriff's Office. In addition to their regular duties, Civil Deputies have the opportunity to serve on the Tactical Operations Unit and Honor Guard.
