Long Elementary School is a Leap through 6th grade campus located in Midland, TX. With a diverse student body representing 15 different languages, the school values building relationships with students, families, and community members. They offer bilingual services and provide a safe and welcoming environment focused on continual growth for both students and staff members. Midland Independent School District (MISD) is proud to announce the expansion of its robotics programs, which will soon be available to all grades and schools within the district. MISD's Fine Arts Director, Deb Shaw, was recently named Administrator of the Year at the Texas Thespians State Festival for her outstanding leadership in the fine arts departments across the district. Additionally, MISD's 1:1 technology initiative now allows every student to have their own digital device, providing access to educational resources. Transportation Routing Coordinator Elisa Felix has also been honored as the Operations Specialist of the Year by the Texas Association for Pupil Transportation (TAPT). Enrollment for the next school year is now open, and Midland ISD is excited to welcome Dr. Stephanie D. Howard as the new Superintendent.

Hillander School

Founded in 1961, The Hillander School is a nonprofit, coeducational school that provides learning experiences for more than 250 students in pre-kindergarten through grade six. It offers classes in grammar, science, language arts and physical education. The school conducts art, computer education and Spanish classes. It conducts school musical productions and poetry recitation activities that assist in the development of self-confidence skills.
