Local Coffee Founders, often regarded as the birthplace of specialty coffee in San Antonio, opened its doors in 2009 and has since expanded to become a roasting company with 11 retail locations in San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas. In February 2020, the founders sold the company but retained ownership of the original Local Coffee in San Antonio, now known as Local Coffee Founders, where they continue to serve their loyal customers and the Pearl community.
Partnering with Proud Mary Coffee, Local Coffee Founders exemplifies their dedication to the craft of coffee and the relationships they have built with farmers. Additionally, they proudly offer a selection of specialty coffees from local San Antonio roaster, TAG Coffee Co, which donates 50% of its profits to local children's shelters.
