HistoryI officially opened Monika Rae Photography after graduating from Texas State University in beautiful San Marcos; however, my interest in and time spent looking through a lens started much earlier in life and my family members often joke that I had a camera attached to me at birth. I first started shooting pets and wildlife until high school when I began working events as a second shooter and doing some portrait work on other weekends. I continued this through college while working another full time job to pay for tuition. I always knew this is what I wanted to do professionally and even though I get to do this full time now my love for photography just keeps grows. To this day my camera is always in tow, any time I step foot out side my door and even when relaxing inside my home.
