The James R. Closner Cancer Foundation, established in 2002, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to indigent cancer patients from the Rio Grande Valley and Laredo, Texas.

With a mission to alleviate the financial burden of travel and lodging expenses, the Foundation supports local cancer patients as they seek second opinions or receive treatments in other cities.
