Leticia Maldonado, RN, BSN, MSN, FNP-C

Monetra is a physician's assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences in 2007, with a minor in food science, nutrition, and health promotion, from Mississippi State University in Starkville. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Physical Assistant Studies in 2012 at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. She has over 10 years of experience as a physician's assistant, which includes working in inpatient and outpatient settings. She initially joined Kelsey-Seybold in 2015, where she cared for patients until moving in 2017 to Michigan, where she spent five years as a hospitalist physician assistant. Monetra rejoined Kelsey-Seybold in August 2022.

Erika is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2014. She earned her Master of Science of Nursing (MSN)/Family Nurse Practitioner at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2018. Erika has cared for patients through a variety of nursing positions over the course of her career. These include working in a cardiologist's office at Memorial Hermann Outpatient Center and in the bone marrow transplant unit at Texas Children's Hospital. From November 2016 to May 2019, Erika cared for patients in the Kelsey-Seybold Cardiology Department. She returned to Kelsey-Seybold in October 2019 and cares for patients in the Hematology/Oncology Department.

Zubia graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Spanish and Biology. She attained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) at The University of Texas -RGV in 2014. She became the first primary care PA-C at Kelsey-Seybold under the supervision of Donnie Aga, M.D., in May 2015. Zubia has since excelled in telemedicine visits and now manages all Internal Medicine PAs. She sees patients in clinic for routine physicals, well-woman exams, follow-up visits, and weight loss management; treats acute illnesses; and manages chronic diseases.
