In the early 2000s, Andre Shepard, began his career with multiple cemeteries in the metropolitan area of Michigan. While working in the cemeteries he was mentored by the late Dave Blake, Owner of Simpson Granite of Detroit, Michigan. The year of 2001, he would start his crafting customized engraved headstones, monuments, and memorial wreaths. Solid Rock Monuments was his first storefront headstone company. In 2004, he opened his 2nd location in Southfield, Michigan which led us to the family owned and operated business we know today. Using only the best materials to skillfully create customized memorials, Andre has dedicated himself to ensuring that Solid Rock Monuments would stay standing for generations to come.
