Laura M. Goetzl, MD, MPH, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained maternal-fetal medicine specialist whose practice is primarily centered around prenatal diagnosis through ultrasound, amniocentesis, and chorionic villus sampling. She also cares for women with complicated pregnancies, such as women with diabetes or autoimmune conditions. Goetzl’s care model focuses on patient autonomy and informed decision-making. She’s a professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Goetzl received her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco, followed by her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is heavily involved in research into the effects of infection and medications/drugs on the developing fetal brain. One of her current grants focuses on the impact of marijuana during pregnancy on the structure of the fetal brain and on neurodevelopmental outcomes at age 2. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and time with her family.

Danielle L. Sobol, MD, is a fellowship-trained pediatric plastic surgeon providing high-quality, family-centered care for children and adolescents with congenital and acquired conditions. She further sought a specialized fellowship in pediatric craniofacial surgery at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, with Emory University, refining her expertise in pediatric and craniofacial surgery. She treats children of all ages and even offers prenatal appointments for families with ultrasound findings of cleft or other craniofacial differences. While much of her practice focuses on children, she does extend her expertise to adults with congenital differences or complex facial trauma. Outside of work, Sobol enjoys being outdoors, traveling, sampling Houston’s vibrant food scene, and spending time with her loving family and puppy.
