Laredo Gentle Hands (LGH) team focus on helping keeping our patients and their families free from pain, anxiety, and stress. Our hospice team includes a Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Chaplains, Certified Nursing Aides, and Volunteers dedicated to providing individuals what they need to ensure a quality of life during a difficult time. We include: - Skilled Nursing Care - Pain & Symptom Management - Disease Management - Clinical Pathway Support - Assistance with Advance Directives - Caregiver Education - Emotional & Spiritual Support - Bereavement Support & Grief Counseling - Personal Care - Assistance with ADL's Hospice care is available and appropriate for anyone who has made the decision, along with their families and doctors, to amen their goal from curative to comfort, and assuming the disease process follows its normal course, any person certified by their attending physician to have a life expectancy of six months or less. Hospice services promote the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient and family in the patient home or wherever the patient resides. Laredo Gentle Hands accepts the Medicare hospice benefit.
