Eric S. Blacher, MD, MPH, is a board-certified family medicine physician who sees children 10 years old and older. He provides customized treatment plans for each individual based on their unique physiology and biopsychosocial circumstances. His clinical areas of interest include preventive medicine, metabolic health optimization, primary care, academic medicine and teaching medical students, and aerospace medicine. Blacher is a third-generation physician and is passionate about his profession. He believes in providing comprehensive care in a judgment-free, compassionate environment using evidence-based medicine and methodologies. His ability to make his patients feel comfortable and welcome in a clinical setting sets his practice apart. Getting to know his patients helps him provide the best care possible, and encouraging shared decision-making is paramount in his physician-patient relationship. Blacher graduated from medical school in 2011 at St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his family medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital in 2014. Blacher continues to serve his country as an Air Force Reserve flight surgeon and field grade officer.

Charles D. Ericsson, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained infectious disease and travel medicine specialist. A Harvard professor who was a Nobel Laureate inspired him to become a physician. Ericsson decided to specialize in infectious diseases because he wanted to be a medical detective. Ericsson is a professor of infectious diseases in the Department of Internal Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and director of the travel medicine program. He has conducted clinical studies on traveler’s diarrhea in Guadalajara, Mexico. These research studies and his upbringing as an Army brat naturally segued into an interest in travel medicine. Ericsson is the founder and editor-in-chief of The Journal of Travel Medicine and past president of the International Society of Travel Medicine. He is heavily involved in hospital infection control and antibiotic approval programs and directs the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Training Program at McGovern Medical School.

Dr. Nahid Rianon is an Assistant Professor of the Division of Geriatric Medicine at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). She sees patients in the Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit at the Memorial Hermann Hospital and at the Center for Healthy Aging (CHA) in Bellaire, TX. She runs the Geriatric Osteoporosis clinic at the CHA and her main research interest is osteoporosis due to age-related bone loss and fracture prevention.
