Joyful Beginnings is the vision of Joani Koenig, a Nationally Certified Professional Midwife, Licensed to practice in the State of Texas. Joyful Beginnings was founded to meet the needs of pregnant women in the New Braunfels, San Antonio, Austin and surrounding areas who desire a nurturing, professional and non-interventive birth. Today, Joani collaborates with an extensive group of birth professionals throughout the nation and continues to be committed to furthering the education of and options for women during pregnancy.Joyful Beginnings has a network of professional relationships providing services and consultation to women in their childbearing years. (Nutrition, Fitness, Chiropractic, Naturopathic, Homeopathic and Holistic Care, Natural Baby Products, Family Practice Physicians, Pediatricians and other healthcare practitioners just to name a few)

Services-At-A-Glance - FREE no-obligation consult with one of our midwives to find out more about safety of midwifery care with Licensed Midwives. - Regular visits to monitor the progress/health of both mom & baby! We allot 1 hour for every appointment so that you have plenty of time to get all of your questions answered. - Direct access to your provider 24/7 - All blood work is drawn in-office and sonogram referrals are available as needed. -Care during labor & birth; including water birth, VBAC, breech, and twins - Intermittent fetal monitoring, delayed cord clamping, and immediate skin to skin bonding after delivery.
