HistoryRudolph (Rudy) B Hood began his bookkeeping and tax service in 1958. He gained his CPA license in 1977 and formed Rudolph B Hood, Inc. PC. In 1985, Rudy's son-in-law F Glenn House joined him as a bookkeeper and tax return preparer. Glenn earned his CPA designation in 1990. At that time, Rudy made Glenn a 50% partner in the accounting firm and the name was changed to Hood & House, Inc. PC. Glenn also began writing accounting software special applications in 1990 and in 2007, Hood & House Software LP was established. Rudy retired the first time in 1995, but after a few weeks decided retirement wasn't for him and returned to the office - working until he was 92 years old in 2018. Now Glenn's son Cliff (who has worked for the company off and on his whole life) is earning his Enrolled Agent License and learning the trade.
