NP Acosta-Duran's interest in gerontology began with her grandmother, who lived to be 102. After witnessing the extensive care required at the end of her life, NP Acosta-Duran realized older adults need additional support to make the most of their years. Today, she prou NP Acosta-Duran graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso and is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
