Irving Police Department

The Irving Police Department is a part of the city government of Irving in Texas. The department operates a crime prevention unit. Its Citizen Police Academy offers an educational program to provide the public with a working knowledge of the department s employees and policies. The Irving Police Department also manages the Irving Family Advocacy Center, which serves the needs of the families and victims of crimes in the community. The department offers family counseling services. It operates a special operations division that consists of traffic, tactical and narcotics sections. The Irving Police Department s technical services division includes a communications section and municipal jail.
