International Exotic Animal Sanctuary

The International Exotic Animal Sanctuary, now part of The Wild Animal Sanctuary's network of accredited sanctuaries, is dedicated to protecting captive wildlife and raising awareness about the Captive Wildlife Crisis. With over 25,000 lions, tigers, bears, wolves, and other large carnivores held privately within the United States, including 5,500 tigers in Texas alone, the sanctuary works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and care for these animals that have ended up in terrible and abusive situations outside of the public zoo system in America.

Through their active supporter program, visitors can join the movement to save these exotic animals and learn about their individual rescue stories. While the sanctuary is not open to the public on a regular basis, supporters are welcome to visit on special days or weekends, further contributing to the mission of the International Exotic Animal Sanctuary.
