Located in San Antonio, Incarnate Word High School is a division of the University of the Incarnate Word and is a member of Brainpower Connection. It is a private, Catholic, all-female college preparatory school. The school serves day and boarding students in grades nine through 12. Established in 1881, it is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school s academic curriculum includes theology, English, mathematics, science, foreign language and social studies. It also offers classes in computer technology applications, speech therapy, fine arts, and health and physical education. The school has various clubs and organizations, such as the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and a student council. Its athletics activities include volleyball, basketball, track, softball, soccer, tennis, swimming, cross country and golf.
