i Fratelli means the brothers in Italian. The i Fratelli concept was founded in Irving in 1987 by us, the four Cole brothers: George, David, Mike, and Darrell. We still own and operate the company, which has expanded to include i Fratelli Ristorante and Wine Bar and nine pizza take-out and delivery outlets located throughout the Metroplex. The core values behind the concept of the original i Fratelli Restaurant remain the foundation of our company. Twenty-two years later, we continue to take pride in the details which make our exemplary service and thin-crust pizza a local favorite. Our own dough recipe is handcrafted fresh daily, and we make our marinara sauce, salad dressings, and meatballs from scratch. It is not uncommon to catch one of us serving up salad and pizza at a corporate luncheon or church event. George and Ann Cole graduated in the early 50s from North Dallas High School back when the area now known as the West Village was North Dallas. He was Class President and Football Captain, she was voted Homecoming Queen and Most Popular. From 1958 to 1965 their six children were born.
