Good fried shrimp and great fried fish.y only critique is that I wish they still had fried chicken.

History
Van Croft opened the Hushpuppy in Vidor, Texas in 1983. He ran the very successful business for 25 years. In 2008, he sold the business so he could retire and spend time with his family. October 2017 he was brought out of retirement to reopen the restaurant and bring it back to it previous status.
Specialties
Our Specialty is our Fish and Shrimp, but our other seafood items are great and customers love our Gumbo!

It used to be really good I came here all the time, now there's a lot of young kids playing around the front. My crab sticks had plastic in them. And now they have brought back this older lady...
The fish we got was sliced very thin on one end, and fairly thick on the other end. So the breading was too thick for the thinly sliced end. The breading was salty. And the fish tasted precooked...
