Operational for more than 120 years, the YMCA of Greater Houston is a social and welfare organization that offers a variety of programs for adults, youths and senior citizens. It provides fitness classes, health and wellness seminars, educational classes, personalized training programs and adult sports leagues for senior citizens and families. The YMCA of Greater Houston s aquatic program includes swimming lessons and water exercises. It also offers ballet, jazz, pottery, drawing and painting classes. It also offers character development, citizenship and social service programs in collaboration with local school districts.
