The Houston Gymnastics Academy, founded in 1984, offers a variety of programs and is located in Houston. Its preschool program introduces children to gymnastics through the use of various obstacle courses and props, such as hoops, balls, bean bags, beanie babies, cones, ropes, ribbons and shapes. The academy s progressive programs serve children between the ages of 6 and 12. It offers artistic gymnastics, tumble and trampoline classes that are taught on several Olympic apparatuses, trampolines, tumble tramps and safety pits. The Houston Gymnastics Academy also offers dance instruction and after-school care programs. It also offers developmental team programs for boys and girls that develop team building skills and personal excellence. The academy conducts various special events, such as parents night out, birthday parties, tumbling clinics and day camps.
