Homeward Bound, based in Dallas, provides services n the areas of criminal justice, mental health and substance abuse, in the Greater Dallas area. It provide programs and professional services which promote the development of positive behavioral health and independence for individuals and families caught up in the cycles of substance abuse and addiction, criminal behavior and mental illness. It provide a medical detoxification and crisis stabilization program staffed by medical personnel 24-hours, seven-days a week. Clients receive a full physical and supportive counseling during the detoxification period and are referred to appropriate follow-up services for further treatment, therapy and community support upon their discharge. Homeward Bound offers new programs, including acupuncture and a residential program for men and women who have HIV and AIDS.
