Established in 1969, it is one of the leading providers of helicopters for the U.S. civilian, law enforcement, military and homeland defense markets. The company maintains more than 1,800 aircraft that are flown by over 600 U.S. operators, including corporate and business customers, hospitals, and tourism and law enforcement agencies, as well as the U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard, Federal Bureau of Investigation. American Eurocopter employs more than 700 individuals and is a subsidiary of Eurocopter, which is one of the largest helicopter manufacturers in the world and is a business unit of EADS North America. It operates the EC120, AS350 B3, EC145, EC175 and EC225 aircraft. The company also offers logistics, technical and after-market support services.
