History

I started out a Journalism student in NY. While going to college I decided to get a job as a receptionist at a hair salon. I then moved to Los Angeles, California and went to cosmetology school. I think working as a receptionist made doing hair a natural progression. I took an immediate liking to coloring hair and making a huge change in my clients overall look. I studied with some pretty amazing hairdressers as an assistant in Beverly Hills. Then I took my place in a salon and kept on educating myself. I love what I do and believe it shows in my work and my attitude! All these years later I still wake up and think I am so lucky to have a job that I love. I love people and think hairdressers are the next best thing to therapists. I have been living and working in Dallas, Texas since 1993.

Heidi Woodruff of Salon Republic has been in business for almost 30 years. I specialize in corrective color. I was an educator for Goldwell hair color, and have advanced training in many color lines, including, Matrix, Framesi, Wella, Shwartzkopf, Redken to name a few. I also have been certified in Cinderella hair extensions, Ultra Tress hair extensions. I am very fast and affordable. I am also certified in waxing. I do mostly women (facial waxing) but do have a few men clients for back waxing. I do haircuts, chemical straightening, for men and women.
