Harris County Public Library

Harris County Public Library offers a variety of educational and recreational resources through more than 20 branch locations. It maintains a collection of more than 2 million items that includes printed books, videocassettes, maps, CD s and DVD s. The library provides a variety of children s programs that includes films, crafts, stories and library instructions. It also offers foreign language materials in Spanish and Vietnamese. Additionally, the library provides a range of equipment that includes overhead projectors, printers, audiotape players, typewriters, data projectors, microfiche readers and scanners. Harris County Public Library has a staff of more than 400 associates and maintains several locations in Houston.
