Although the Emphasis of First Appointments is to Get An Accurate Picture of a Client's Condition, I Always Strive to Make Sure that Clients Leave Those First Meetings with Helpful Ideas A bout How to Go About Changing Their Lives. My Clinical Approach is a Mix of Solution-Oriented Therapy with Cognitive-Behavioral Methods. Solution-Oriented Therapy Emphasizes Using Clients' Strengths to Assist Them in Feeling Empowered to Make Positive Changes. Cognitive-Behavioral Methods Assist Clients in Examining Their Thought and Behavior Patterns to Identify Areas Where Changes Might Be Advantageous.
