Groves Mechanical, established in 1966 by Lee Groves and his son Kirby, originated as L.L. Groves Plumbing on Possum Kingdom Lake. Specializing in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC services, the company quickly became the go-to for fishing cabins on PK Lake as the area developed with weekend homes.

Transitioning to Groves Mechanical in the mid-1980s, the family-owned business remained a constant presence in the community.
