Giddings Isd

Giddings Independent School District, based in Giddings, Texas, supports four schools. Giddings Elementary School, with an enrollment of more than 650 students, houses prekindergarten through third grade, and incorporates programs, such as mentor reading program, accelerated reader and academic contests. Giddings Intermediate School comprises the fourth, fifth and sixth grades, and participates in academic contests and stresses the accelerated reader program. It enrolls more than 400 students. Giddings Middle School includes the seventh and eighth grades, with an enrollment of more than 250 students. Giddings High School supports more than 550 students, and its curriculum includes core subjects and advanced placement and dual credit systems. Giddings Independent School District encourages students in its various schools to participate in extracurricular activities, including band, cheerleading, student council and clubs, and a variety of sports.
