History

I began tutoring and mentoring aspiring musicians and pianists when I attended college (the first time). The enjoyment and satisfaction I got from that experience ultimately helped me decide to pursue a professional teaching career. When I became a school teacher, I was finally able to free up enough time on a consistent basis to build a select cohort of music pupils. I first began teaching piano lessons out of my home - as is the way I was taught growing up. I eventually, added days in my schedule to teach out of a music store in Humble, TX as well.

Specialties

I have mostly worked with adults and young adults pursuing higher levels for career or college pursuits. Since becoming a school teacher and also becoming contracted with a local music store, my student base is mostly children and brand new students learning the very first things about music and playing and instrument. Overall, I am prepared, qualified, and experienced enough to work with virtually any age from beginner to advanced. I offer the complete package - mastering the instrument as well as the music. Stand alone music theory classes are also available for those pursuing deeper levels of study and/or preparing for college coursework. I am also available to accompany your instrumental or vocal solo or ensemble for any contests, recitals or other performances. I have been under contract with Aldine, Sheldon and Humble school districts and also work directly with individuals as necessary.
