For Love & Art started as a project in a leadership course by Mark Lombard, who blended his passion for art with his service to community as a hospice volunteer. Mark was impressed by how his patient, Miss Billie, reacted to souvenir postcards from local museums; in the moment, she was young again, beautiful, and vital again, free from her everyday worries and fears. Mark dubbed this phenomenon
