In 2013, UNT alum, Kenny G Chamberlin started his first business, Primal Parkour, with $500. He taught classes at Eureka Park to 6 young students. Seasonal weather drove him to rent space from a local gymnastics gym. He kept his program there for years and ultimately decided to pursue a gym of his own. Ater a lot of grief, tenacity, and some brief homelessness, Kenny acquired a loan. He met another parkour coach, Mike Avery, and the two have overcome many obstacles together, literally, to give the local children a place to exercise their imagination as well as their bodies. The FAM is home to parkour and all the quirky activities around Little D that need one.
We are Denton's home for parkour, and a gym for kids and their grown-ups. We teach movement education to all ages, shapes, sizes, and skill levels. Most of our clients are young children developing their coordination, but we're also rockin' with the adults and college students!
