Filtex Company

History

Founded by Randy and Belle Datu along with their sons, Filtex began originally as a Balikabayan Box company in 2005. Servicing Filipinos in the Houston area as well as Beaumont through their co-owned filipino store business there. In 2007 they decided to open a physical location but not just a place to do their box business. They decided to open a full store. One that services not just the Filipino community but an outlet for other stores to buy their products. Opening Sept. 1st 2007, Filtex opened a 3500 square foot facility which also serves at their main office and warehousing. Eventually business grew and Filtex soon expanded coverage through the state of Texas. More than 50 stores and restaurants covering most major Texas cities are serviced by Filtex. Growing the market Filtex was eventually able to bring many popular brands to consumers. Brands such as Mama Sita, Tropics, Sarangani Bay and all the way up to a authorized distributorship of Goldilocks products.
