Farzaneh Banki , MD

Farzaneh Banki, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in thoracic surgery and committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive health care for her patients. Banki primarily sees adult patients. Her clinical interests include diagnosing and treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), esophageal motility disorders, malignant diseases of the esophagus and stomach, and benign and malignant diseases of the lungs and airways. She’s a professor in the Department of Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Her research is focused on the role of plasma DNA in the screening and diagnosis of primary, metastatic, and recurrent esophageal cancer.
