Through traditional breeding and modern screening, IPG develops High-Oleic varieties with higher yield, better grade, and a shorter growing season. There is also ongoing work on Value-Added Characteristics (VAC). An extensive and diverse germplasm base, consisting of over 2,000 breeding lines and over 50 advanced lines of the four market types, is maintained and evaluated in multiple countries.
