Explore Horizons

History

Explore was founded in England in 2001. It is now one of the leading providers of enrichment and tutoring in the UK. It was founded by Bill Mills, a Cambridge University mathematics graduate with a lifelong passion for education. Bill was born and brought up at Highfield School, which was founded by his grandfather in 1904, and where his father was Headmaster. The ethos behind Explore was to develop a tutoring company that would be used as a long-term complement to school. Bill achieved this by creating a service that produces proven academic results in a setting where children love to learn. This unique approach to tutoring has been incredibly successful in the UK, where over 100,000 children have already become Explore members. In March 2014, we opened our first international location in Colleyville, Texas, and have since expanded across the DFW area. We have ambitious plans to bring our unique tutoring concept to children throughout the USA and eventually the world!

Sign up today for our free in-person assessment! We provide enrichment and tutoring for children of all abilities in Pre-K through 8th grade. Children become members and attend an Explore Horizons center up to twice a week on a drop-in basis. At Explore Horizons, our tutors get to know each child as an individual.
