Very few restaurants have the staying power to celebrate even a quarter-century of service, but El Fenix celebrated their Centennial! Founded in 1918, by Mike Martinez, a Mexican immigrant, El Fenix is credited as “The Originator of Tex-Mex Cuisine.” It has been named an “All American Icon” by Nation’s Restaurant News and a must-see dining destination for visitors to North Texas. If you're wanting amazing Mexican food El Fenix is the place to go, we went there with the whole family, and the food was phenomenal, FYI if you're looking for fajitas, they've got the perfect plate!
