Ector County
The Permian Basin Master Gardeners (PBMG), established in 1991 in Ector and Midland Counties, is a volunteer and educational program dedicated to enhancing gardening knowledge in the region. With a growing membership of 71 certified Master Gardeners, the program provides valuable horticultural training and resources to West Texas citizens through collaboration with the Texas AgriLife Extension Service.
PBMG offers a variety of classes on gardening topics, held monthly at the Odessa Food Bank, along with annual training for new members. Additionally, they supply essential resources, including plant recommendations, gardening tips, and educational materials to support local gardeners in their endeavors.
