Chariot, formerly known as Drive a Senior Central Texas (DASCTX), is a non-profit organization based in Austin, TX, that has been providing exceptional senior transportation services since 1988. With a mission to enable the aging population to age in place, Chariot offers home rides, individual rides, and community rides to seniors in South Austin, Southwest Austin, Lakeway, northern Hays County, Elgin, and other underserved neighborhoods and rural areas. Through collaboration with other Austin nonprofits, Chariot strives to ensure that every senior in central Texas has access to transportation, enriching their quality of life. Driven by a dedicated board of directors, including Elizabeth Wrona as the Board Chair, Chariot is committed to facilitating positive outcomes for the community. With the support of volunteers and funding from various sources, including faith communities and generous foundations, Chariot has expanded its services over the years, combining with other Drive a Senior groups to create a more impactful and efficient program.
