Denton County Crime Prevention

The Denton County Sheriff s Office is a law enforcement agency with more than 500 employees. It is responsible for operating jails, investigating crimes, making arrests, enforcing traffic regulations and maintaining security in Denton County, Texas. The Denton County Sheriff s Office patrols more than 880 square miles and houses approximately 1000 inmates. The office also provides dispatch services for more than 15 local and state law enforcement agencies and over 14 local fire departments in the United States. The Denton County Sheriff s Office has jail administration, criminal investigations, communications and patrol divisions.
