I received my B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from the Department of Psychology, University of California, Los Angeles, focusing on the neurobiological bases of behavior. I completed my clinical training within the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, David Geffen School of Medicine and the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA. I have worked in behavioral health for over 20 years, both in institutional settings and in my private practice in Austin, Texas. I have served on the faculty at UCLA and The University of Texas, Austin and am actively involved in research. I am licensed in both Texas and California. My practice focuses on issues related to chronic stress, anxiety, sexual addiction, substance and process addictions, including treatment, recovery, relapse prevention, 12-Step facilitation, stress management, dual-diagnosis management, and acute and chronic pain management while in recovery. Certified Sex Addiction Therapy Sexual addiction is a complex disorder. As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) Candidate, I am completing training over the course of a year followed by supervision with a CSAT Supervisor. CSAT's are experts in providing sexual addiction therapy.
