Lorenzo de Zavala Middle School offers classes in math, English, social studies, reading and science. The school is named after Lorenzo de Zavala who played an important role in the Texas War of Independence. Located in Irving, Texas, it serves students in grades six through eight. Lorenzo de Zavala Middle School has an athletics department that offers several sports activities, such as football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, cheerleading, and track and field. The school provides membership with various organizations, including the National Junior Honor Society, a student council and crime stoppers.
