Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School is one of the first public all-girls schools in Dallas. Founded in 2004, the school serves more than 400 students in grades 6 through 11. It offers a range of special programs, including student laptop, advisory groups, leadership development seminars and handbell choir. The school also provides a variety of after-school activities. Its academic curriculum includes social studies, language arts, math and science. Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School provides a range of summer activities, such as arts and crafts, drama, computer applications, sports and a variety of summer camp activities. The school offers several sports activities, including soccer, volleyball, golf, cross country, basketball, cheerleading, softball, baseball, and track and field. Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School also has a library and media center that provides a variety of resources, such as books, journals, magazines and Internet access.
