Dallas After School Network is dedicated to leveling the playing field for children of all races and economic backgrounds in Dallas County by enhancing the safety, quality, and accessibility of afterschool and summer programs for over 17,000 students. They work collaboratively with afterschool partners to assess and improve program standards, provide training and resources, and advocate for increased public funding to ensure equitable access for all families.

Through their focus on safety, quality, access, research, and workforce development, Dallas After School Network strives to make a lasting impact on children's academic and emotional growth. The International Education Program ( IEP ) of the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth seeks to educate students and teachers on how global issues affect their lives by helping them gain a critical understanding of important international topics and empowering them to become informed, independent thinkers about world affairs. The Council, an excellent way to enhance your knowledge about international affairs, offers a selection of four-to-eight programs per month. Whether you prefer early morning breakfasts, luncheons, or evening forums, the Council provides a wide array of events throughout the Greater DFW area. Members are also invited to participate in Great Decisions, the Council's monthly discussion group. At each meeting, a moderator facilitates lively discussion on a current international issue. Topics may range from the Media in Foreign Policy, Public Diplomacy, U.S. and Europe, to Reform in the Middle East.
