Cypress Academy of Performing Arts, based in Houston, started its classes in 1988 in a converted dance room and has expanded to a more than 10,000-square-foot facility. It offers a wide range of opportunities for people of all ages to artistically express themselves through many different disciplines, and its focus is on authentic theatrical and dance experiences for children. It has a group of young singers, actors and dancers who perform at the local and national level. All Cypress Academy of Performing Arts members are trained in all three areas of the performing arts, including voice, acting and dance, with a strong emphasis on technique and entertainment value.
